Processors

The processors category covers CPUs for desktop PCs, workstations and servers: Intel Core, Intel Xeon and AMD Ryzen models, including the Threadripper range for professional computing workstations, in box or tray versions. Alongside the CPUs you will also find compatible motherboards and cooling systems to complete the platform.

When choosing a processor, look at the number of cores, the clock speed, the amount of cache and the rated power in watts, which tells you how much heat you will need to dissipate. The socket is essential, for example LGA 1700, LGA 1851 or AM5, and it must match the motherboard. Box versions come in retail packaging, while tray versions are aimed at system builders and professional use. For rendering, virtualisation or gaming, favour more cores or a large cache. Brands available: Intel and AMD.
