Set-top boxes and aerials

The set-top boxes and aerials category covers devices for receiving and playing television content: set-top boxes for digital terrestrial and satellite, TV boxes and media players for streaming, and aerials for picking up channels. They are used to connect non-smart televisions, to improve reception or to add streaming services.

When choosing, consider the broadcast standard supported, for example DVB-T2 for digital terrestrial, DVB-S2 for satellite and DVB-C for cable, the resolution handled, such as HD or 4K, and the outputs available, such as HDMI. For a TV box, the operating system, the streaming apps you can access, the storage and the network connection also count. For aerials, think about the type of installation, indoor or outdoor, and your reception area. Brands available: Motorola and Telekom Deutschland.
