Webcams

The webcams category covers cameras for video calls, remote working, streaming and conferencing. Alongside Full HD and 4K USB webcams with a built-in microphone, you will find solutions for meeting rooms, such as conference cameras and videoconferencing kits with zoom, microphones and mounting hardware.

When choosing, consider the resolution (Full HD 1080p or 4K) and frame rate, the field of view, which is important for fitting several people in shot, and the quality of the built-in microphone. Check compatibility with video call platforms, for example Microsoft Teams, and the type of USB connection. For a single workstation a desktop webcam will do; for a meeting room a wide-angle camera with a 360° microphone or a dedicated kit is a better fit. Autofocus helps keep faces sharp. Brands include Logitech, BenQ, Hikvision and Ricoh.
