Turntables

Turntables bring back the pleasure of listening to vinyl, with the warm sound many enthusiasts prefer. In this category you will find manual, semi-automatic and automatic belt-drive models, often with Bluetooth and a phono preamplifier, and some with USB recording.

When choosing, consider the type of operation: a manual deck gives you more control, while an automatic one is simpler to use. Check the speeds supported, the quality of the cartridge, whether there is a phono preamplifier, which lets you connect straight to powered speakers, and the connections, such as Bluetooth and USB. Models with built-in speakers are handy for getting started. Brands available include Teac, Sharp, Sony and Philips.
